Todd's first race with the Official team, and he is pleased with how it all went. 

 

Todd was a little nervous going in to the day, with a system that is a little strange to us. Todd had 1 qualifying session, completed on fastest lap then 2 heat races that gave you your gate pick for the final. The final race was what counted, the first 3 sessions were only gate pick. So it was important that you did enough, without burning yourself out. Todd managed it perfectly, he had done enough in the 2 heat races to get gate pick 5 for the final (joint 4th with Camille Chapeliere) but had enough to push on in the final to bring home his first French podium! 

 

In the final, Rain came in very hard. Track wasn't a problem as it was too dry before but goggles were a worry. Its the first test we have done with the 100% forecast system in the rain and sand, they never missed a beat! 

 

Todd didn't have the best of starts, gating around 8th but soon made his way passed Steve Ramon and Tom Guyon before battling with Damond Martens for 2 laps. Todd sat in 5th for a few laps gaining a bit on the front runners each lap. Todd then caught Tom cotch, passed quickly and pushed on to Chapeliere who was 4th. Todd and Chapeliere were pushing hard, wheel to wheel before they caught Dewulf, Dewulf then made a mistake with 2 laps to go allowing Todd and Chapeliere to pass. Now lying 2nd and 3rd, Chapeliere and Todd pushed to the line but unfortunately the track was relatively one line, leaving Todd 3rd. We are really pleased with the result and very happy with the way Todd has started the beach race season!
